Heavily involved in promotion of the Olympic and general sports in the UAE region. Hamel Ahmed is an active member of the UAE Olympic Committee and the Vice President of the UAE Winter Sports Federation. He is also an official spokesperson of the Federation to the media and press.

Over the years he has proudly led the following organising committees to see the UAE progress enormously in the sports field and to celebrate the multitude of the region’s sports achievements both locally and internationally:
